Cal Bedient has published five critical books and is the author of five books of poetry:  Candy Necklace (Wesleyan University Press, 1997), The Violence of the Morning (winner of the contemporary poetry prize at the University of Georgia Press, 2002), Days of Unwilling (Saturnalia Books, 2008), The Multiple (Omnidawn Publishing, 2012), and The Breathing Place (Omnidawn, 2020). He and David Lau founded and edit Lana Turner: a Journal of Poetry and Opinion.
