Ivanov Reyez was an English professor at Odessa College. He is originally from the Lower Rio Grande Valley, born in McAllen. His poetry is included in The Café Review, Eclipse, Pinyon, Poetica: Reflections of Jewish Thought, The Mochila Review, Chili Verde Review, The Temple, BorderSenses, New Texas 2012, Sierra Nevada Review, Cooweescoowee, Belleville Park Pages (Paris), and other journals. He is the winner of the river Sedge Poetry Prize 2015. He is the author of Poems, Not Poetry (Finishing Line Press, 2013). His short fiction has appeared in Sephardic-American Voices: Two Hundred Years of a Literary Legacy (Brandeis University Press), El Locofoco, The Mayo Review, Texas Short Stories, Nebula (Canada), Terra Incognita, MOLT, and elsewhere. He has received a Pushcart Prize nomination in fiction. He has also reviewed for the Texas Books in Review.
