Esta mañana, según navego por el río
el cielo amanece nublado.
Se anuncia el trueno y cae la lluvia
           sobre el río,
           sobre nosotros.

Después,
          hay un silencio muy helado.
Puedo contar cada gota de lluvia.
Percibo el lugar donde caerá el rayo.

Busco su fuego
           según navego por el río  
           aún tanto como un agitado mar.
Sé que encontraré hoy la respuesta.



This morning, as I navigate the river
the morning sky is cloudy.
Thunder claps, and the rain falls
           on the river,
           on us.

Then
           a cold, cold silence.
I can count each raindrop.
I can see where lightning will strike.

I look for the fire
          as I navigate this river
          now so much like a churning sea.
I know I will find the answer.
